The objects of this association are:
1. To foster and promote a better understanding of Soto Zen Buddhism.
2. To promote spiritual, educational, social and intellectual Development of its members.
3. To participate in and encourage all activities of the Taishoji Soto Mission.
We presently have a membership of 65 which includes 47 Keirosha Members. Our members love the fellowship and we are like a big Happy family.
We cook for all the services and special events and do Weekly church cleanup.
Twice a year (May and November) the Taishoji Fujinkai visit Taishoji Members who are receiving long term care at Hilo Medical Center (ECD), Life Care Center or Hale Anuenue Restoration Care Center and present Them with lap blankets, bibs and wheelchair bags made by and donated By our Fujinkai members.
